Finding the right fabric is only one part of preparing a garment for production.
Final Row provides sourcing support for brands that need help coordinating the fabrics, trims, labels, packaging, and other components required to move an approved garment into production.
Instead of requiring clients to independently coordinate with multiple fabric stores, trim suppliers, label manufacturers, and packaging vendors, we can manage these components through one production process.
Our sourcing service is designed primarily for production after sample approval.
SOURCING SERVICE FEE
One-Time Sourcing Service Fee: $150
The $150 fee covers the sourcing service and coordination required to identify appropriate production materials based on the approved garment and project requirements.
Material costs are not included in the sourcing fee.
Fabrics, trims, labels, packaging, and other physical components are quoted and billed separately according to the materials selected and quantities required.
Projects requiring unusually extensive sourcing, custom development, specialized materials, or multiple rounds of material research may require additional fees. If so, we will explain the additional cost before proceeding.
SAMPLING MATERIALS
For initial sample development, clients are generally expected to provide their own sample fabric and trims.
Sampling is primarily focused on developing the pattern, construction, fit, proportion, and physical garment. Having the intended materials available allows development to begin faster and avoids unnecessary sourcing costs before the design itself has been approved.
You may provide fabric, buttons, zippers, elastic, lining, lace, hardware, or any other components required to construct the sample.
Once the sample is approved and the project is ready for production, Final Row can use that approved garment and its materials as the reference for production sourcing.
In certain projects where a physical sample, completed pattern, or clearly established material reference already exists, sourcing before sampling may be possible. These projects are reviewed individually.

Not every material or component is available at every quantity or price point. Availability can depend on supplier minimums, color, composition, construction, quantity, and production schedule.
If a requested material cannot realistically be sourced for the project, we will explain the limitation and, when possible, recommend an appropriate alternative.
HOW SOURCING WORKS
1. Sample Approval
The garment is developed and approved before production sourcing begins.
2. Material Review
We review the approved sample, fabric, trims, construction, intended quantity, and production requirements.
3. Sourcing Direction
We identify the materials and components that need to be sourced and determine the appropriate specifications for production.
4. Supplier Sourcing
Final Row works through available suppliers and resources to locate the same material or the most appropriate available option based on the approved sample and project requirements.
5. Material Review & Approval
Relevant material options, pricing, availability, and minimum requirements are reviewed before production materials are ordered.
6. Production Purchasing
Once approved, the required quantities of fabrics, trims, labels, and other components are ordered for production.
7. Production Preparation
Materials are coordinated with the production schedule so that cutting and manufacturing can begin once all required components are ready.
WE SOURCE FROM THE APPROVED SAMPLE
Production sourcing begins with a clear reference.
Whenever possible, we work from the approved sample, original material, confirmed specifications, or other physical references to identify the appropriate production materials.
When the exact original material is available in the required quantity, it may be used for production.
When it is unavailable, discontinued, below supplier minimums, or impractical for the intended production quantity, we can identify the most appropriate available alternative.
We will not silently substitute a materially different fabric or component.
Any significant change affecting the appearance, hand feel, construction, fit, or cost of the garment should be reviewed before production proceeds.
SOURCING WITH YOUR TARGET PRICE IN MIND
Material selection and production cost are directly connected.
When possible, providing your target production cost or intended retail price helps us evaluate materials and construction choices that are appropriate for the project.
A fabric or trim may technically work for a garment but make little sense if its cost pushes the finished product beyond the brand's intended price structure.
Our goal is not simply to find materials. It is to help identify materials that make sense for the design, quality level, production quantity, and commercial requirements of the product.
LABELS, HANGTAGS & PACKAGING
Sourcing does not have to stop with fabric and trims.
For brands using our full-package production service, Final Row can also coordinate the components required to prepare the finished garment for its next stage.
This can include:
- Woven brand labels
- Care and content labels
- Size labels
- Hangtags
- Product information stickers
- Inventory stickers
- Poly bags
- Final packaging requirements
These components can then be incorporated into production and final packaging according to the approved specifications.
FROM SOURCING TO READY-FOR-SALE GOODS
For clients using Final Row for full-package production, sourcing becomes part of a larger production process rather than a separate service that the client must independently coordinate.
Approved Sample → Material Sourcing → Labels & Trims → Production → Quality Control → Hangtags & Packaging → Finished Goods
This allows brands to focus on product development, sales, marketing, and distribution while Final Row coordinates the physical components required to manufacture the product.
The objective is to deliver finished garments that are prepared for fulfillment, wholesale, retail, or direct-to-consumer sales.
YOU CAN ALSO PROVIDE YOUR OWN MATERIALS
Using Final Row's sourcing service is optional.
Clients who already have established fabric mills, trim suppliers, label vendors, or packaging resources are welcome to provide their own production materials.
In that case, the required materials simply need to be delivered and approved before production begins.
We do not require clients to purchase materials through Final Row in order to use our production services.
CLEAR EXPECTATIONS BEFORE WE SOURCE
Sourcing is affected by availability, supplier minimums, production quantity, lead time, material specifications, and target cost.
We cannot guarantee that every exact fabric, trim, color, or component will always be available.
If we cannot source something accurately or realistically for your project, we will tell you.
If an appropriate alternative exists, we can explain the available options before any production commitment is made.
